Nathan's 1st Hair Cut - Belated

So we took Nathan to get his first haircut about a month ago. We went to this place called Monkey Dooz, it is a kids hair salon. They have it all decorated and a cool jeep chair for the kids to sit in. On Tuesday it's only $10, they also do kids parties where they do hair, manicure's and pedicures. Nathan did very well, he was tired and just sat there the whole time until she used the electric razor. I was pretty impressed with this place and would definitely recommend it, just make sure that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. It is located off of Central Ave in Riverside. Sorry it took so long to blog this.

Lake Tahoe Day 5.5 - 6

Matt and I went to Reno Nevada. It was about an hour and half away from Tahoe. I wanted to go because I had never been there and I have seen it on all the movies. I am not much of a gambler, and I am super cheap so I don't like wasting money. I played a lot of nickel and penny machines so my money would last longer. I pretty much lost most of my money. Matt on the other hand hit the jack pot. He had $7.00 left and played it on the dollar slots, he actually won $320.00 SCORE!! That's our truck payment yahoo! And since we are married I am entitled to half (J/k). After that we cashed out and walked away with an extra $250 in our wallets. We also watched a trapeze show at Circus and Circus and dropped by In N Out on the way home for a healthy late night treat. The next day Matt went snow skiing with his parents and I stayed back with the baby. I really enjoyed the down time, I was able to take a bath in the Jacuzzi tub and watch TV, and pretty much relax at my own pace. It made for a nice relaxing day.

Lake Tahoe Day 5

We went for an excursion on the MS Dixie II, it was a paddle boat that sails around Lake Tahoe. The boat ride included lunch and a narration of the history behind the lake, etc. I think Nathan was the only 1 year old on the boat, it was hard watching him, he wanted to go up to everyone and be free and independent.

Towards the end of the 2 hour ride Nathan's diaper was super full and dirty. All they had to change him in was a very very small bathroom. Matt and I squeezed into the bathroom and I laid my jacket on the toilet tank to change Nathan on. As we changed him, while he is crying hysterically, he totally pees all over, for a long time. Matt started getting angry, the baby now is sopping wet with pee, still crying now harder and everyone could probably hear us in the cabin. It was one of those moments that is very frustrating when it happens but hilarious when you look back on it. Needless to say we somehow survived. At least the food was super yummy.

Lake Tahoe Day 4

It was snow play day, we drove to a great spot, hiked up and over the hill and played in the snow. I felt like a kid again, building snowmen, riding a sled, and throwing snowballs. Nathan wasn't quite sure about the snow. He was bundled up like that kid on the Christmas story, he really couldn't move his arms and we had mittens on his hands. Once removed some layers he began to explore a little more. After a while he was copying Matt and eating the snow, don't worry it wasn't yellow.

We made some good runs and sledding was awesome! I had a blast, I forgot how fun it was playing in the snow. Isn't it cool having kids, it's like you get to be a kid all over again.

Lake Tahoe Day 3

Matt and I headed off to Sierra Resort for some long awaited snow skiing. We got there around 11:00am. We started off on the bunny slope and by the end of the day we doing intermediate runs. The ski's we rented were great, the weather was a little chilly with that cold wind up high with snow, our faces were pretty much frozen. I fell probably 6-7 times. Matt didn't fall as much but on the last run of the day he took a pretty big tumble face plant and lost his ski's and poles. It reminded me of goofy "ahhh haaa hooweee." He got the wind knocked out of him, but it was a cool fall definitely deserved a 10 on the fall scale. Grandma and grandpa had fun watching Nathan for us while we were out enjoying ourselves.

Lake Tahoe Day 2

The next day we basically rested and hung out. We drove up to one of the ski resorts and saw some beautiful waterfalls escalating from the snow top mountains. What a beautiful drive. Later on that night we found a local bowling alley and went bowling. I haven't been bowling in a long while. Not to brag but I won both games, although it was pretty close on the last game. Nathan just walked around and played with all the shoes, balls, and vending machines. We had a great night.

Lake Tahoe Day 1

Nathan did great on the way up, we stopped in Bishop to eat and found a park nearby in Ridge crest for Nathan to play in. Matt slept in the van while we were out playing. It was a nice day out, I laid a blanket out and sat in the shade. I didn't get any sleep the night before and was too anxious to sleep on the way. Met some nice people at the park with twin 2 year old boys that were having a birthday party. There were great historic displays and neat courthouses not to mention a beautiful view of the snowy mountains.

Off to Lake Tahoe!! YAHOO!!

So I am sitting here, I just finished packing and still need to clean the house before our vacation to Lake Tahoe this next week. I needed a break so I thought I would blog a little. We are leaving tomorrow around 3:00am so we can get some driving in before Nathan wakes up. We are really looking forward to some R&R so please pray for a fun safe trip.

This is a picture of the resort we will be staying at, and one of the ski runs. We are going with Matt's family, they own a timeshare and rented a van to drive up there. Matt got a call early yesterday to do a show in LA today so he took it for some extra cash. The gig is from 3:00pm to 12:30pm tonight so he will probably get home just before we leave. God is so good! What a blessing that we can go on this trip with family. Well back to work I go, I will blog more when we get back. Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Try not to miss us :)

Pampered Chef Sisters!

It has been a busy month! My sister and I are selling Pampered Chef as a team, we are splitting the earnings and doing shows together. We call ourselves the Pampered Chef Sisters. She does the cooking, I do the talking. Our first show is this Monday April 7th, we had a practice session here at my house today to figure out how to make the recipe and use and sell the product we got in our kit. We made the three cheese garden pizza, it looked great and tasted even better. I was pretty impressed with the results. We had such a great time, just hanging out and being sisters. I am really looking forward to doing this together. I am having a show here at my house Monday April 28th at 6:30pm. It's going to be tons of fun and free food, if you are interested in coming let me know and I will send you a postcard. You know I must say pampered chef really does have great product. I am actually having fun cooking. Anyway I will try to keep blogging to keep you posted. Hope everyone is well and having a Wonderful Day in the LORD!!
