A Prego Pic.

Ok so I told you I would post a prego pic. Not my favorite, but one of the only ones I have. I am usually the one behind the camera so it is hard to get a pic, not to mention I feel so huge. We took this in our front yard. I am actually sitting in the same spot typing this right now, its a beautiful day today.

We went to the place called Great Falls Park. It has a small hike to huge water falls. We brought a sac lunch, hiked a bit enjoyed the view, then drove home. Oh yeah we can't forget the 6 foot bag of kettle korn we picked up on the way home. What can I say the baby wanted some (mommy too). Forgot the camera, guess we will have to go back soon. Nathan loves the outdoors, we need to go camping soon.

A Mothers Day Tribute!

Ok so it has been a while since my lost blog, I had the great pleasure of spending a week with my parents. We had such a great time.

Even though it is several weeks past mothers day, I wanted to share how wonderful my Mom is. She came out and made me curtains for our new homes. She stayed up until midnight almost every night on the sowing machine. (I guess that is only 9:00pm California time, but still it was a lot of work). It is amazing how curtains can turn a house into a home. If you are reading this Mom, Thank you, thank you, thank you and I love you!. When it came time for my parents to leave I was super sad. I didn't realize how much I missed them until I saw them again and spent time with them. I am blessed with such a genourous and loving Mom (and Dad).

Hope everyone had a great Mothers Day and enjoyed spending time with their little gifts from God. I had a great day. We went out to lunch at Costco, shopped a little and came home and played in the yard until 8:30pmish. It was a beautiful day out, sunny around 75 with a slight breeze. One of those days when everything feels right and you are content with all the Lord has blessed you with.

"Oh Oh Spaghettio's"

Spaghetti is such a great cheap meal, and it taste great. Nathan loves it, the problem is that it always makes such a big mess. On my stove, kid, and floor. I served it prepared and took off Nathan's shirt. After we ate it was straight to the bath. Can't wait until we heat up left-overs.

An Easter Re-cap..

We had quite an eventful Easter. Matt was gone doing a show in LA, he then flew a Red Eye back to Leesburg to start his first day at his new job. That gave Nathan and I some one on one time. I won some free tickets to a magic show and Easter egg hunt at my Mops group a few weeks earlier so I was looking forward to some free fun. The little shakers Nathan has were noise makers, there were a ton of kids and they gave them drums and noise makers and had them play them.

The magic show was cool and they gave us free snacks. There were tons of clowns and of course the Easter bunny. Ok Nathan seriously LOVES the Easter bunny. The first time we saw the Easter bunny was at Wal-mart. Nathan was so excited he kept saying, "see bunny?" He got to sit on the bunnies lap and gave the bunny a hug. As we rolled down the aisle he waved and said "bye bye bunny see you next time, see you later". A huge impact for a kid his age. When we saw the bunny at this event we had to visit him numerous times. Nathan had a full on conversation with him and really enjoyed his presence.

The Easter egg hunt was fun, they had the area all sectioned off and we had to wait until 11:00pm to do the hunt. Try telling that to a 2 year old. My little guy excited to push the limits ran straight under the caution tape and started picking up eggs. I had to chase him and carry him back more than once. Once it was time to hunt for eggs Nathan had a great time. He picked the eggs up and really understood the whole egg hunt process. He picked up quite a few eggs and of course the best part is enjoying the spoils. Overall it was a great weekend, busy but memorable.

What is it with boys and Tractors?

So it didn't take long to find a lawn tractor, as we "NEEDED" one. I have never seen my husband so happy to mow the lawn. Boys and their toys? We found an old tractor for sale on craigslist. It is a 1971 Simplicity 637 tractor that came with a trailer. The guy just replaced the spark plugs and batteries and it runs great. We got it for $250 which was right in our budget. As you can see we took Nathan for a ride in the trailer, he absolutely loved it. He also likes driving the tractor like his daddy. The first time Matt mowed the lawn Nathan brought out his little toy lawn mower it was too cute. Notice how nice and green the lawn is. We have no sprinklers so all the rain keeps everything around here nice and green. I wish you could see how beautiful it is up here in the spring time. It reminds me of all the years we went camping

The Plains, VA

Ok so my goal to update the blog every week was not as successful as I would hope. It is almost like joining a gym, at first you get really excited then life happens and there goes the blog. We have had a lot happen in the last few months so I am not entirely to blame. Matt got a new job at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg VA. His first day was Easter and we moved out to a cute little country house in The Plains VA. Our new address is 2737 Bluebird Ln, The Plains, VA 20198. It is a four bedroom two bath house on 1.3 acres. We have to buy a riding lawn mower for Matt to mowthe lawns,he is pretty excited about that, I am hoping to find a cheap on on craigslist. It has 2 fireplaces and a creek that runs through our front yard. The view is amazing, it is totally cabin country. It feels like home, although we still have a lot of unpacking to do. It is 24 miles away from Matts work, but well worth it considering the amount of space we have. We would be paying at least $100 more per month for a townhouse in Leesburg.

Currently everyone is sick but such is life and we are getting through it. God is so faithful to direct our steps and to provide for our every need. My parents are making a spontaneous trip on May 1st for week to help make curtains and to spend time with the family. I am really looking forward to seeing them it has been 4 months since I was out in Cali. Here is a picture of the house. I will post more soon, and if you are lucky I might post a pregnant pic of me, although I feel pretty large and in charge. I am 7 months pregnant and the baby will be here in 3months. Yikes this pregnancy has gone by fast. Enough rambling for today. Hope everyone i doing well.

The joy's of bubble bath'sI I

I gave Nathan a bubble bath a few days ago and he loved it! He kept hitting the bubbles and cracking up. Oh the joys of a bubble bath, I think I enjoy them as much as he does. I need to take all the bath's I can before this 2nd child comes. By the way, we find out what we are having tommorow. Nathan just loves the water, what a cutie!
Matt and I went to visit the church on Sunday and had a good time. They asked him to come back March 11th to meet with the head pastor, go out to dinner with a few other pastors and to mix the worship team. They are even putting him up in a hotel for the night. Please continue to pray for the Lord's direction. We are still in need of renters for our house in California, but we know that the Lord will work all things out. I am starting to look and feel pregnant. Yipee. Hope everyone is doing good. Have a Great Day!
