Pampered Chef perks...

Sorry it's been a while things have been pretty busy around here. I haven't updated you on the pampered chef business. Things are going great! Laura and I were the top sales performers in our cluster. We also earned a ton of free pampered chef product as well. One of the perks of doing pampered chef is that it is super fun to cook and you get excited about trying new recipes and using the new product. I have been cooking up a storm over here and everything I have made has actually turned out yummy. This is a first for me (remember the impossible raspberry cake?) it has really giving me confidence in my cooking skills and my whole family is reaping the benefits.
For mothers day I actually wanted to cook so we invited the family over for a mini Thanksgiving meal. Everything turned out FANTASTIC ,YAY for Mothers day! I had such a great day. Matt made me that super cute centerpiece, he actually hand painted the dowel, square plaque and came up with the whole idea on his own. It was such a nice day, we went to church, took and nap and had a nice evening with the mom's. I was very blessed.

CTE Productions

Our good friend Robbie Dahl designed a new logo for our business. We needed something for the audio side of the business. Most people didn't understand the name Car Tunes Entertainment in correlation to a production company. We are still trying to push the business but things have been pretty slow. Please pray for Matt this week, his work at Lowes has been very stressful and they have threatened to fire him. Payroll is too high and the store is not doing well in sales, they want him to consider working part time. We are really seeking the Lord's direction. Matt is going to apply a few other places tomorrow. He is considering working part time and using the extra days to push the business. This is a big step of faith, and we know ultimately that God will open up doors where He wants us, and direct our path. There is a manager at Matt's work that is really giving him a bad time, please pray for the whole situation as this is taking a tole on my great hardworking husband. Thanks

TODAY IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER!

It is our responsibility and privilege to pray every day but especially today and especially for our country. Please join with me in prayer:
"Dear Lord we need you, we thank you for the privilege of living in a country where we are free, where we can proclaim you and not go to jail for it. We lift up this country and ask that you would direct it, anoint it, protect it and lead it. Lord forgive us and have mercy on us. Please be with those fighting in the military we ask a blessing upon them and your hand of protection on them. Give them strength and help them to know you more. Be with these upcoming elections, we ask that you would appoint who you want in authority and that you would bring America back to you. We pray that the marriages and families would stay together and that the statistic on divorce would not be so high. Help us to raise our kids in your ways and teach them according to your word. We need you Jesus, it is all about you, help all Christians to rise up and not be lukewarm, give us the strength and the obedience to serve you radically in this life, to impact any and everyone. We thank you that you hear us and love us even when we don't deserve it. Please, please, please be glorified in this place we call home. We lay everything down at your feed and ask all these things in Jesus name, Amen."

Nathan's 1st Hair Cut - Belated

So we took Nathan to get his first haircut about a month ago. We went to this place called Monkey Dooz, it is a kids hair salon. They have it all decorated and a cool jeep chair for the kids to sit in. On Tuesday it's only $10, they also do kids parties where they do hair, manicure's and pedicures. Nathan did very well, he was tired and just sat there the whole time until she used the electric razor. I was pretty impressed with this place and would definitely recommend it, just make sure that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. It is located off of Central Ave in Riverside. Sorry it took so long to blog this.

Lake Tahoe Day 5.5 - 6

Matt and I went to Reno Nevada. It was about an hour and half away from Tahoe. I wanted to go because I had never been there and I have seen it on all the movies. I am not much of a gambler, and I am super cheap so I don't like wasting money. I played a lot of nickel and penny machines so my money would last longer. I pretty much lost most of my money. Matt on the other hand hit the jack pot. He had $7.00 left and played it on the dollar slots, he actually won $320.00 SCORE!! That's our truck payment yahoo! And since we are married I am entitled to half (J/k). After that we cashed out and walked away with an extra $250 in our wallets. We also watched a trapeze show at Circus and Circus and dropped by In N Out on the way home for a healthy late night treat. The next day Matt went snow skiing with his parents and I stayed back with the baby. I really enjoyed the down time, I was able to take a bath in the Jacuzzi tub and watch TV, and pretty much relax at my own pace. It made for a nice relaxing day.

Lake Tahoe Day 5

We went for an excursion on the MS Dixie II, it was a paddle boat that sails around Lake Tahoe. The boat ride included lunch and a narration of the history behind the lake, etc. I think Nathan was the only 1 year old on the boat, it was hard watching him, he wanted to go up to everyone and be free and independent.

Towards the end of the 2 hour ride Nathan's diaper was super full and dirty. All they had to change him in was a very very small bathroom. Matt and I squeezed into the bathroom and I laid my jacket on the toilet tank to change Nathan on. As we changed him, while he is crying hysterically, he totally pees all over, for a long time. Matt started getting angry, the baby now is sopping wet with pee, still crying now harder and everyone could probably hear us in the cabin. It was one of those moments that is very frustrating when it happens but hilarious when you look back on it. Needless to say we somehow survived. At least the food was super yummy.

Lake Tahoe Day 4

It was snow play day, we drove to a great spot, hiked up and over the hill and played in the snow. I felt like a kid again, building snowmen, riding a sled, and throwing snowballs. Nathan wasn't quite sure about the snow. He was bundled up like that kid on the Christmas story, he really couldn't move his arms and we had mittens on his hands. Once removed some layers he began to explore a little more. After a while he was copying Matt and eating the snow, don't worry it wasn't yellow.

We made some good runs and sledding was awesome! I had a blast, I forgot how fun it was playing in the snow. Isn't it cool having kids, it's like you get to be a kid all over again.
